It’s been a long series run for the popular medical drama “ER”. The series is based in a Chicago hospital, and follows the travails of the medical staff and their experiences at work. The original series was based around a movie script by the late screenwriter and author Michael Crichton – who is best known for his book, Jurassic Park.

Top TV Programmes Compete against Each Other at RTS Awards Show

The nominations for this year’s Royal Television Society programme have recently been announced – as they once again aim to recognise some of the best works aired on television.

Included in the nominees is the English Civil War drama, The Devil’s Whore, which has received a nod for best drama serial. The scriptwriter for the show, Peter Flannery, has been shortlisted for the best writer award, while the programme’s star, Andrea Riseborough, has been nominated for best actress.

Law and Order Slips in Ratings; Overtaken by Who Do You Think You Are?

The UK version of the television series Law and Order saw 600,000 fewer viewers on March 2nd, compared to the show’s second installment debut the week before.

Law & Order: UK, which is based on the US drama franchise, now has 5.8 million viewers and a 24 per cent share in the 9:00 pm hour – down from its launch rating of 6.4 million viewers and a 26 per cent share last Monday. It has been overtaken by genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are?
