Kid’s clothing – let children enjoy life in affordable clothes
When it comes to keeping your kids clothed, it’s a toss-up between them trashing their garments or growing out of them; whichever comes first!
With smaller children using a sibling’s hand-me-downs can be a very cost-effective way to keep them in suitable togs, but as children progress into the teen years they develop a fashion consciousness all of their own. Lucky parents will have children that seek to be smart at affordable prices whereas, when it comes to the impact on their wallets, really unfortunate mums and dads will be housing kids that crave only designer labels.
Thankfully today, fashionable clothing for children is readily available from high street shops to exclusive boutiques. The majority of parents can clothe their kids at incredibly affordable prices if budget is an issue, as it invariably is for many families with small children. After all, you want your kids to be kids, so asking them to take care of their clothes at a small age isn’t really feasible. You would have to stop them walking, running, climbing, jumping and taking part in every other activity in which young kids gleefully participate, including of course – painting!
So, when providing for the active little mites supermarkets are especially good places to sniff out incredible deals when it comes to clothes for kids. Hard-wearing shoes for under a tenner and jackets for a fiver are commonplace throughout the UK high street. School sweatshirts are readily available for a few pounds, as are trousers and polo shirts usually come in packs of three. For everyday wear there is also a huge selection of kids clothing available at supermarkets, including hoodies, jeans, pyjamas and even fancy dress; all at prices that will put a smile on most parents’ faces.
Even for those smart occasions – such as weddings, parties and birthdays – stylish, fashionable clothing can still be affordable. Parents who want to splash out will also find plenty of choice, especially in the high street fashion shops that offer their own children’s clothing range.
Whatever is the priority for parents when it comes to buying their children’s clothes – style, durability or affordability – they are all available on the UK’s high street. For those parents with teenagers, a word of warning, agree a budget before you leave the house! The cost of a single designer T-shirt for a teenager could easily provide a complete outfit or two for a younger child!
