Manchester has a long history but there is no doubt that it is right up to date when it comes to entertainment and culture.

Of course culture is about much more than just visiting museums and seeing exhibits. It’s also about having fun and being entertained on your trip to Manchester. What better way to do this than to embark on a trip to the theatre?

There are plenty of theatres in the Manchester area and one of the best known is the Royal Exchange Theatre. You can see everything from Shakespeare to more modern comedies here, so be sure to drop in and see what is on offer.

If live music or comedy is more your thing you can discover all kinds of venues to enjoy in the city. From brand new bands and faces to old favourites who have become famous, try venues such as the Roadhouse and the Frog and Bucket Comedy Club.

There are plenty of other things to do in Manchester as well, such as enjoying a relaxing meal in one of the many restaurants or a drink or two in one of the friendly pubs.
