Orlando might be home to some of the nation’s greatest theme parks and renowned as a family destination, but the city has lots more to offer visitors of all sorts, from families and couples to solo travellers.
Orlando is of course famous for its many theme parks and there are certainly plenty to choose from. There are four theme parks at Walt Disney World alone as well as two water parks so there is plenty here to keep everyone amused.

Although arguably the main attraction, there is plenty to do aside from visit the many theme parks and Orlando’s seemingly never-ending sunshine makes it the perfect place to explore.
The stylish downtown district is home to several of the city’s bars, restaurants and performing arts centres as well as an abundance of parks and green spaces.
Lake Eola is a gathering point for the downtown community and the combination of the waterfront amphitheatre lined with cafés and restaurants makes this a pretty place to stop.
The downtown historic district is a collection of around sixty buildings that offer a peek into the city’s past and reflect the commercial and governmental history of Orlando. You can amble around by yourself or take advantage of one of the walking tours.
For culture lovers, a trip to Orlando Museum of Art should be fitted in if possible. Founded in 1924 this expansive museum has a huge collection of modern art ranging from dramatic installations to impressive collections of African and pre-Columbian pieces.
Orlando Science Center is another top attraction that can be enjoyed by everyone. A combination of real science and special effects bring dinosaurs to life and for star gazers the observatory hosts night-sky viewings every Friday and Saturday night.
Whenever you are searching for Orlando hotels it helps to know that Orlando International Airport runs buses to major tourist areas as well as in and around the city.
